Interesting. When it comes to my own identity, let me start with the opening lines from Angelas Ashes by Frank McCourt:
“Worse than the ordinary miserable childhood is the miserable Irish childhood, and worse yet is the miserable Irish Catholic childhood”
My childhood was not miserable, but I can assure you that on so many aspects, being Irish and Catholic meant having this crazy primitive guilt complex.
Malaysia changed all that. Its unusual to say that I found Malaysia more liberal than I expected.
