Living Near Busy Roads May Increase Blood Pressure

Driving during rush hours can certainly turn you into an incredible sulk. Let’s face it, the only people who loves traffic would be online kind, bloggers like me.

My condominium is about 100 metres away from the busiest highway in Malaysia, the Federal Highway. I am “blessed” with all kinds of sounds 24/7, though at night it becomes much bearable, with the occasional rempit zooming home.

Apparently, people exposed to traffic noise over 60 decibels have increased risk of high blood pressure. How the hell do I calculate decibels? Well, a normal conversation is 60 decibels, people taking on the mobile phone, 600 decibels, for some freaky reason, some people tend to shout using their mobile phones.

Once my big day is over in the middle of 2010, I will move out and find a house in my 2nd home – Petaling Jaya.
