Pros and Cons of Drinking Beer

Beers, like any other palatable food/beverage, can be GOOD if it is consumed moderately. What’s the best part of drinking beer, apart from the cooling effects on the throat as it trickles down and quenching thirsts on a hot hot day?

It’s source of vitamins and minerals of course! Vitamin B (Beer!) baby! It also reduces the risk of coronary heart problems. The vitamin B6 prevents blood amino acid, which is responsible for damaging the lining of blood vessels and blood clots.

It has GOOD cholesterol, HDL – high proportion of protein with little cholesterol. Beer also reduces the risk of kidney stones, 40% lower!

The bad side of beer, especially if you consume 2 mugs a day, the worst of the worst, the beer belly. Unless you’re planning to flee the country in search for a belly dancing career, I suggest you cut short your intake. Beer also has gastric acid, which could cause heartburn if drank excessively. Your blood pressure also goes up, as to intoxication.

Not to forget dehydration and ultimately, hangover.

Having said that, drinking beer is actually good for you AS LONG AS it is consumed in moderation, i.e. up to 4 mugs per week.
