I was scouring through my 4000+ song vault in search for this tune, and I found it in the form of Luther Vandross’ Dance With My Father. Is there a sadder song that this? And by sad I mean tearjerkers and not the ones that make you wanna commit suicide.

Absolutely~! I can’t listen to this song without ending up with 2 swollen eyes. So I avoid ever listening to it. My friends know me well enough not to play this song when I’m around..

i don’t think i’ve come across a song that’s sad enough to make me cry when i listen to it. only songs that reminds me of certain phases in my life makes me cry- not the song itself.

I think Prince’s “Another Lonely Christmas” is the saddest song ever. How he drinks himself almost blind on Christmass to forget, man that is rough.
