She’s gonna be in Malaysia shortly for a concert. With tunes like this, it’s easier to splurge on tickets to see her. I still somehow find her voice a tad nasally annoying.
I remember when she first broke into the music scene in 2005 with “Pon De Replay” and then later followed up with “Don’t Stop [...]

A pleasant tune by the singer who gave us “Leavin’”. This is his third single off his album. I remember listening to the whole album last May, and only liked “Leavin’”. I guess in the height on that tune, this song slipped by me. There’s also a remix version featuring Ludacris, which is not too [...]

His previous kickass tunes include a duet with Timbaland on “Elevator”, with Will.I.Am on “In the Ayer”, with Sean Kingston on “Roll” and THAT tune with T-Pain on “Low”. This dude has such a catchy way of rapping it’s difficult not to dig his style. I also like T-Pain’s style of rapping too.
He has 2 [...]
Baby Bash ft Mario & Lil Jon – That’s How I Go

The hook is bloody infectious. I loved it the first time I listened to it. Baby Bash, previous hits that I liked was “Baby I’m Back” and “Cyclone”. This is his latest track, collaborating with Mario and Lil Jon, quite a cracking tune I must say. It’s such a laid back tune with a chorus [...]
Lenny Kravitz – Again

“Again” is one of my favorite 2 Lenny Kravitz’s songs. The other one being “Are You Gonna Go My Way?”. This track was released in 2000, a new song in a Greatest Hits album. The story is about a person who longs to eventually meet the love that he lost, but doubts it. Classic.
Lenny Kravitz [...]
Das EFX – They Want EFX (Dead Serious 1992)

This is one of my favorite hip hop tunes of all time. Thanks to my late cousin brother, who introduced me to this infectious tune. I was swept off my feet to the way these dudes rapped. It’s such a fun song that you will lose control of your legs and your other limbs.
You want [...]

Not my favorite band. In fact, I dislike boybands with a passion, though admittedly there are a handful of tunes that I enjoy. For 2008, my favorite boyband tune is New Kids on the Block’s 2 in the Morning. This tune by Take That is not too tatty, but it will not breach my top [...]
Bob Marley – Buffalo Soldier

Everyone loves Bob Marley. His name was even “borrowed” by a Labrador Retriever, where the writer named his pet Marley. It’s hard not to like him. When you think of an island getaway you’ll always think about Bob Marley’s songs. It never fails.
This dude is legendary to say the least. I remember buying his CD [...]
Bon Jovi – In These Arms (Keep the Faith)

As always, I typically say these words when I blog about a Bon Jovi song – “It’s one of my favorite Bon Jovi songs”, from easily over 120 of them. This track taken off 1992’s Keep the Faith did fairly well in the American and British Charts.
It speaks of everlasting love and devotion, coupled with [...]
Jamie Foxx feat T.I. – Just Like Me (Intuition)

2 songs stood out from Jamie Foxx’s latest album, Intuition. I first heard this tune in October, but with other better songs deserve a mention on my blog, I gave this song a miss.
After having listened to the album earlier this week, I initially wanted to blog about another tune, but then, when I tracked [...]
