Akon feat Michael Jackson – Hold My Hand

Akon feat Michael Jackson – Hold My Hand

Ladies and gentleman, we have a winning combination right here! After Akon’s excellent rendition of MJ’s Wanna Be Startin Somethin earlier in the year, both of them went back to the studio to record this track. It’s classic Michael Jackson, and it’s catchy. You can actually imagine the music video – a choir singing and [...]

Black Stone Cherry – Things My Father Said (Folklore and Superstition)

What an album to listen to! It was a rocking good effort by Black Stone Cherry. I’m surprised that this band went under my radar since they were formed in 2001. It’s a throwback of rock n roll from the its heydays, with some fresher sound. This album was was produced by Bob Marlette, the [...]

Pink – So What

Pink, is an artist I enjoy listening to. Very angst stuff yet catchy at the same time, which is a rare commodity these days in the music industry. I look forward to her upcoming album, “Funhouse” due to be released soon. She collaborates with Max Martin again, the same coaction that brought “U + Ur [...]

Third Day’s 9th studio album (I never knew they existed THAT long!) was released at the end of last month. I checked out the album over last weekend, which has a tinge of Southern Rock. The album, has Daughtry on it as guest appearance in one of the songs, but nothing can beat this tune, [...]

This tune sounds uncannily similar to Chris Brown’s With You. Still, it’s a pretty decent song from Barbadian singer, Shontelle. This tune was released in July 2008 and I will not be surprised if it becomes a hit among the ladies. It’s a cute tune.

Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland, lended her voice to “Who Says You Can’t Go Home” to countrify Bon Jovi’s 2005 Grammy winning song. Sugarland has now released a new album. I heard “All I Want to Do” for the first time in late May, and I kinda liked it. But after a couple of rewinds, I [...]

Rick Springfield – What’s Victoria Secret

This tune, is another throwback to the 80s, more like a continuation of “Jessie’s Girl”, which I thought is one of 80’s best track. Rick Springfield’s new song reminded me of his mega hit. His new album, “Venus in Overdrive” has just been released and when I have the time, I’ll check out the album. [...]

“Lips of an Angel” was a huge rock ballad back in 2006, and it was my number one song of that year. Since then, I’ve been a fan of Hinder, with “Better Than Me”, “How Long”, “Homecoming Queen” making up the rest of my favorite Hinder tracks.
If you’re a big fan of Hinder, they’re releasing [...]

It’s been a while since we last heard a fusion of hip hop with rock, no, not the Kid Rock kind, but the Beastie Boys genre. I dislike the Beastie Boys, I think they’re overrated in every sense of the word. I can sense how huge this song would be accepted at nightclubs, especially when [...]

I haven’t heard of this dude at all. When I listened to his current single, “Heaven’s Table”, his voice has some similarities with David Cook, and that’s a compliment! So, as I always do, I checked out his album, which apparently it’s his fourth album and his first English album. This dude’s a French Canadian.
