Thanks to Nokia’s OVI store, which I now get to download as many songs as I want for FREE for the whole year. Yes, I am one of the 50 people in Malaysia to be a part of the Nokia Music Explorers, and I was given a free Nokia X6 in the process!
This is one [...]

Iyaz – Get Away (Song Review)

The chorus of the song samples Enya’s Orinoco Flow, and that might not be such a bad thing. Iyaz’s previous song that I blogged about was sampled after Janet Jackson’s Again. I think the selections for sampling is a very interesting choice and despite the success of the original tracks, I never expect someone would [...]

DJ Loko – Dance Tonight (Song Review)

Excellent combination of good Bollywood dance music with English lyrics. That’s my cup of chocolate when it comes to Indian influence music, and that’s as far as I go. Give me an Indian song with English lyrics (not the swaying coconut trees kind) and I’ll show you my terrible moves. Haha.

Beenie Man featuring Shazelle – I Need Love (Song Review)

Another kick-ass beat, although I think the chorus could’ve been polished a little more to give the hook the respect it deserves, the spotlight it craves. Oh well, still, I’m not gonna take away the commendable effort by Shazelle with Beenie Man’s infectious style of ragga-rapping.

Danger Danger – Never Give Up (Song Review)

I love this song. Yes, there is still a part of me who is into rock ballads, especially if it sounds like it’s from the 80s. I haven’t heard of Danger Danger before, although they have been established in the late 80s! Oh wait, maybe I have, a 90s track call “I Still Think About [...]

Junior Caldera – Let the Music Play (Song Review)

Posted by Gallivanter in Music Reviews on 17. Jan, 2010 | 0 Comments

This is a more danced-up version compared to the original. I listened to Junior Caldera’s latest album, and I would highly recommend it to you dance lovers, because it’s filled with pumped up beats. The reason I chose this track from the rest, simply because I like the original and Junior Caldera, in my opinion, [...]

Adelitas Way – Last Stand (Song Review)

The lead singer sounds very similar to Daughtry, and I’m not sure if that’s a compliment. Haha! Anyway, they managed to pull off a decent rock ballad, though some parts sounds a little formulaic. However, it’s good enough to please you rockers.

Usher – Oh My Gosh (Song Review)

Usher – Oh My Gosh (Song Review)

While the chorus is not as exciting, the fact that Will-I-Am produced this song and made the beat really catchy makes it a worthwhile song to have in your playlist. I’m not a fan of Usher as I think he’s overrated, just like many of the other artistes today. I only feel that is his [...]

Amerie – Swag Back

I do not own a single song by Amerie and I can’t recall her songs from the past but I remember her name. Oh well, this track is a pick-me-up in a sentimental kind of way. It’s about ending of a relationship and the process of closure.
My head is clear, I’m so surviving
Coz you’re not here, [...]
