Looking Back on 2009

To sum it up, it has been an eventful rollercoaster year, with a lot of ups in the end that made the earlier downs a worthwhile ride at the end.

Here’s a look back of 2009 through my favorite collection of posts.
It started out with my blog interview with the Malay Mail which was certainly a wonderful [...]

Genting Highlands – A View from My Condo

Genting Highlands – A View from My Condo

On a clear day, when Indons do not decide to burn their forests to clear land for agriculture and what nots, I can see Genting Highlands from my condo in Shah Alam. Of course, KLCC & Twin Towers are a “permanent” view if we’re haze-free, but it takes a special day (just a handful a [...]

Commuting to Work – Time Spent on the Road

How much time do you spend each day traveling to and from your work? I spent an average of 40 minutes one way which translates to 1 hour and 20 minutes on the road. On occasions, it can go up to an hour, and that will usually make me restless.
It’s OK if I have NEW [...]

I spent the most part of Earth Hour callousing my fingers playing the acoustic guitar. It was a mini-jam session of sorts with my better half, briskly covering tunes like Someday I’ll Be Saturday Night, When Love & Hate Collide, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, I Live My Life for You, Rozana, Country Roads and a handful of [...]

Let’s face it, most Malaysian hate Streamyx. Telekom Malaysia is a joke of an ISP. I’m glad that there is competition in this space. I left Streamyx for Macrolynx in the beginning of 2008. The service has been pretty decent, especially the customer services. They are quick to resolve the issues, not more than 24 [...]

Shah Alam MBSA Dog Catchers Tresspass Homes!

Posted by Gallivanter in Gripes on 25. Nov, 2008 | 26 Comments

Thanks to the fucking incentive of up to RM45 per dog caught, the imbeciles of MBSA (Majlis Bandaraya Shah Alam) now break into homes and steal your pet dogs. The dog catchers, even try to coax the dogs to the fence and than drag it outside its property.
What’s their fucking excuse? The dogs are not [...]

Yes. I’ve experienced first hand. It was one evening during class, I think it was Art’s class, the last subject before the end of session. Our class were “floating”, in the sense that we do not have any permanent room, but float around to an empty room available elsewhere. Kelas Terapung 1A8.

After being a prefect [...]

Klang Valley is No Longer SAFE

Klang Valley is No Longer SAFE

These days, muggings and snatchings are a thing of the past, as robbers and thugs become more daring with their victims. Face to face confrontations seem to be their favorite way. Effective? What do you think? I wonder when it will come to a point that even driving during the day is no longer safe. [...]
